The handbook

How everything works

Quick start below, deep dives for every system. If chat keeps asking a question this page doesn't answer, tell us — it goes in.

Your first hour

Minute 1

You spawn in the wild

You arrive with stone tools, a sword, and a meal — enough to survive night one. Mine, dig, chop, build, and loot any chest you find — dungeons, shipwrecks, all of it. Chop a tree at the base and the whole tree falls and replants itself. Place blocks freely to explore — a door for an air pocket, a bridge, a torch-lit tunnel. But the wild is lawless: nothing you leave out there is protected. To keep your builds and chests safe, settle on town land — that's what towns are for.

Minute 10

Get paid + get home

You start with $500. Run /jobs browse, join up to 3 jobs, and everything you were doing starts paying. Drop /sethome at your base; /home returns you. Friends: /tpa Name to teleport to them.

Hour 1

Get land

/t new Name founds your town free (or /t join an open one). /t claim chunks — 6 per resident. Upkeep is $10 a chunk a day from the town bank, so /t deposit a cushion.

If you die

Your stuff waits

Death drops nothing on the ground — a grave holds your items and XP at the death spot for 12 hours, and only you can open it. Get back when you can.

Quick answers

The ten commands you'll actually use

/balance · /pay Name 50 · /jobs browse · /mcstats

/t new Name / /t join Name · /t claim · /t spawn

/sethome + /home · /tpa Name · /towny map

How do I sit down? (asked more than you'd think)
Right-click stairs or slabs, or just /sit anywhere. /lay and /crawl exist too. No gameplay effect — pure vibes.
Help, someone griefed me!
Town land can't be touched by outsiders, so this should be rare — but every block change on the server is logged. Tell a staff member and it gets rewound precisely.
I'm on Bedrock/console — does all this work for me?
Yes. Every command, job, skill, shop, drink, and fish works the same. Open chat and type the commands exactly as shown — your name just carries a . prefix.
Where did my grave go?
Graves hold your things for 12 hours, then despawn with them. Died somewhere lethal? You've got half a day to mount the recovery expedition.
