Guide · Money & jobs

How money actually works here

Where it comes from, where it goes, and how to never be broke.

The flow, in one breath

Earning

You start with $500. After that: work a job (paid automatically as you play), sell rare fish, or trade with other players.

Out

Spending

Town upkeep ($10 per chunk per day from the town bank), whatever taxes your mayor sets, buying from player shops, and paying people directly.

Between

Moving it

/balance — what you have · /pay Name 50 — send it · /baltop — who's rich · /t deposit — feed your town.

Jobs — get paid to play

Pick up to 3 jobs. Once you're in one, the things you were already doing pay out automatically — no clocking in, no quotas.

Joining and leaving

/jobs browse opens the menu — click a job to see exactly what it pays for, then join from there (or /jobs join miner). Leave anytime with /jobs leave miner. /jobs stats shows your job levels — jobs level up like skills, and higher levels pay better.

The 13 jobs

Miner — ores and stone pay your wage. Pairs stupidly well with the Mining skill.

Woodcutter — trees are money (and they replant themselves here).

Farmer — harvesting crops, breeding animals.

Hunter — mob kills. Dangerous, pays accordingly.

Fisherman — every catch pays, and rare fish sell on top of it.

Builder — get paid for placing blocks. Yes, really. Build your town, earn your rent.

Digger — dirt, sand, gravel. Honest work.

Crafter · Weaponsmith · Enchanter · Brewer — production work: crafting, forging, enchanting, brewing all pay.

Explorer — discovering new chunks pays. Wander for a living.

Picking a combo

Match jobs to how you already play. Underground type: Miner + Digger + Explorer. Town founder: Builder + Woodcutter + Farmer. Tavern owner: Brewer + Farmer + Fisherman. You can respec anytime — leaving a job just pauses its level.
