Fishing: the quiet way to get rich
Every body of water hides custom fish the vanilla game doesn't have. Some are worthless. Some pay a week's town upkeep in one cast.
How it works
Just fish
Any rod, any water. Custom fish arrive alongside vanilla catches — each has a name, a size, and a rarity you'll see on the item.
Five tiers
Junk → Common → Rare → Epic → Legendary. Size varies within a species too — a record-length Common can outshine a runt Epic in a contest.
Cash them in
Fish sell for real money — /emf shop opens the sell menu. Stack it with the Fisherman job and every cast pays twice: once for catching, once at the market.
Contests
When they run
Weekends: hour-long contests with rotating goals. Sundays: a 45-minute "most fish" derby. The server announces starts in chat — drop what you're doing, grab a rod.
Winning
Depending on the contest type it's biggest fish, most fish, or a specific species. Leaderboard runs live in chat; winners take prizes. Bring bait, pick your spot early, and don't fish next to the person who always wins. Or do. Drama is content.
